Service Description

Online Child Protection Training for Teachers To improve child safeguarding, the online ‘Child Protection Certificate Course’ for individuals working directly or indirectly with children. This course is available in English and Hindi. The course educates the applicant on child protection through videos and voice-over explanations, along with engaging quizzes and activities to encourage interactive learning. The online Child Protection Certificate Course is a self-paced learning course. The applicant will have online access for two weeks after registering for the course. The course concludes with a computer-aided assessment, which the applicant must complete in order to finish the course. If the applicant scores a certain percentage (or higher) in the assessment, the course completion certificate will be emailed to the applicant. Course Outline Session 1: Understanding the needs of children, knowledge about UNCRC and Child Right, understanding about the types of child abuse. Session 2. Laws related to children and government departments working in India for the care and protection of children. Session 3. Recognising, recording and reporting child abuse. Session 4. Online Safety Session 5: Final Assessment and Feedback ------------------------------ The Flourish course provides a framework of life skills rooted in values and principles that gives teens an opportunity to flourish into adulthood. Course outline Part 1: Introduction 1. Course Introduction and SECASA Assessment of children 2. Introduction to core values Part 2: Knowing myself 3. Self-esteem 4. Being a life-long learner 5. Knowing my goals and purpose 6. Teen transition (Adolescence/puberty) 7. Self-awareness, stress, and impulse control Part 3: Relating to others 8. True friendship (Understanding the difference between friendship, love, and dating) 9. Understanding and resisting peer pressure 10. Be the change (leadership and conflict resolution) 11. Different is OK! (Respect for differences, bullying) 12. Working together (listening and communication skills, teamwork) Part 4: Making decisions about my life 13. Caring for my body (good health and nutrition) 14. Decision making, consequences, and risky behaviour 15. Keeping safe (understanding and avoiding abuse) 16. Online safety, media awareness 17. Understanding different cultures, youth leadership, social responsibility 18. End of Programme SECASA assessment The duration of this programme is 6 months.
